Her Path:
Through Yoga and Qigong, Shanthi has created and taught her own style of Ki-Yoga sequences that integrate flows of energy bringing about clarity, inner peace and tranquility.

In 2005 Shanthi started attending yoga classes out of curiosity.  Through consistent and persistent practice, within a year, she felt the physical and personal transformation.  She continued her commitment to her practice and became a teacher in 2007 through the Indian Yoga Institute of Swami Vivekananda (SVYASA) in Houston.  Her interest in yoga as a cure for some of the common stress-related ailments lead her to become certified in several of the yoga therapeutic courses offered by the Swami Vivekananda Research Foundation.

Her Guides:
In 2011, Shanthi received additional training and became certified again by successfully completing a two year teachers training program by Gray Kraftsow in the Viniyoga tradition of Krishnamacharya and his son, T.K.V. Desikachar.  Learn how Gary used this practice to overcome a debilitating illness.  In 2015, she received her Medical Qigong teacher certification through the Zen Wellness program and the guidance of Master Michael Leone.

Her Quest and Commitment to You:
Shanthi’s passion for health and wellness did not stop there.   She has incorporated Qigong poses into her Yoga sequence flows bringing deeper awareness to one’s physical, emotional and energetic body.

Through her creativity, Shanthi designed multiple six-week “Come As You Are – Lunch Time Yoga” sessions and has taught in a variety of community centers, corporate and private settings.
