My Story: Self-Transformation from Chronic Pain to a Joyful Journey of Balance and Self-Mastery
Working at a computer for prolonged periods of time for eighteen years, drained my energy, put strain on my back, neck and shoulder muscles. By the time I got home, I didn’t have much energy left to spare for my family let alone the chores around the house. Years of improper repetitive hand movement using the mouse left me with carpal-tunnel syndrome and a kinked thoracic spine which I tried to treat with monthly visits to my chiropractor. I was faced with the true challenges of striving to keep balance between body, psyche and spirit.
My transformation began after I learned how to cultivate my body’s healing energy through simple Tai Chi movements combined with therapeutic yoga poses. I have come to understand that some of the deepest and most effective healing is not found at a doctor’s office or a hospital, but rather from inside ourselves. I now find great pleasure in teaching others, empowering participants to stay well by taking attentive care of all aspects of their lives.
